Excellent apartment in the centre of Berlin - right next to the Hackescher Markt and great restaurants / bars. Fully recommended!

Location is spot on. Be aware the 3 bedroom apartment is up a hell of a lot of steps and there's no lift.

Needs a few repairs in the bathroom and batteries in the TV remote, but I'm being picky :-)

Best location in Berlin, great value for the money!

Very very very good location!! It's near the Tacheless, not far away from the subway, 2 stops from Brandenburger Tor. Fantastic!

The location is great. A large, furnished and comfortable apartment with a very nice shower and hot water at any time. The small kitchen is very well equipped and it also has a lovely porch.

The floor was quite dirty.

Location absolutely super, nice little balcony, but Oranienburger Strasse is very noisy. Closing windows not an option on warm night. New power shower cabinet is excellent and water pressure to match

Polished/painted concrete floor is unwelcoming. No soap a bit grudging -- weekend guests should not have to buy soap!

The price and the location are hard to beat. I would recommend esp if on a budget. We got a good deal on our 3 double bed apartment as our dates were between two bookings. The apartment was in a quiet side street of Oranienburgerstr. Near lots of restaurants, shops and public transport. Its 15 min from Alexanderplatz and 10 min from the Museumsinsel. As we spent most of our time exploring Berlin so did not mind that the furnishings were basic.

The flat was on the 4th floor with no lift and narrow stairs - not that great for us as we had a baby , pram and a four year old. There are no baby beds available. The rooms were quite dirty - so would have been a problem with crawling babies - towels and crockery also not clean. There is no wifi in the flat - you have to go to the nearby sixties diner for that. The lady that showed us the apartment is good answering the phone but doesnot volunteer much info unless asked.

Good location, big rooms with kitchen, parking possibilities

The room was not ready (cleaned) before we came. The bed linen set for third person was not full (only pillow and planket), even after phone call. Shover cabin is not fixed (waving)

Nice location at center of the city, good price, clean and comfortable numbers.

Hotel staff. We discussed with hotel staff a a fixed meeting time to keep luggage. But hotel staff b don't knew about it everything and in result we have 5 hours of lost time.

Location.

Basically everything else. I waited 30 mins outside for someone to come and let me do the check-in. There was no toilet paper, waited for that for a day and a half. And the toilet was leaking. One of the beds was broken, had to sleep on the sofa. And it was so dirty you have to wear shoes inside. I read most of the same comments before making the booking but hoped the owners have read them and learn from it. But no. My tip would be not to pay the 30 eur cleaning fee when you move in. If you´re happy in the end then leave it but as there are so many things that the owners are not fixing, it´s worth being cautious.

The apartment is spacious with a small balcony overlooking the street. We stayed six nights, so the overall cost (we bought a fantastic breakfast in a restaurant just down the road for 5 euros) was very reasonable compared with staying in a hotel, and we had the added bonus of living for a while within the local community. We appreciated the free access to wireless broadband and the lift.

The refurbishment of the apartment has been done with cheap materials and rather shoddily, so that the overall 'feel' of the place is cheap. We paid an extra 30 euros for cleaning, but did not find the place really clean when we arrived. For example, there was an almond on the floor in the bedroom, and the ledges in the bathroom were covered in sticky dirt. Kitchen equipment was sparse. Glasses were in short supply, and we were not provided with tea towels or other essential equipment. There is normally a recognition that tourists flying in to a destination will not be bringing domestic necessities with them, but not here. There is a very popular American Diner directly below the apartment and it is noisy until late into the night. The trams start running at 4.30 a.m. just below the window. On a very hot night you would need windows open and the noise would be intrusive, so take ear plugs! Service was extremely poor. Our shower drain was blocked, so unless we showered in 30 seconds flat the floor was flooded. Our friends in the next door flat had no light in a windowless bathroom. These problems were reported twice by email and once in person during our stay and no action was taken. There was nowhere to leave cases once we had checked out on the last day, so we could not make the most of the time before our flight.

The room and furnishings were incredibly basic and not very clean at all - we found nasty stains on the throws on the sofa's hiding bigger stains beneath. The bathroom was grim. The bedding consisted of terry towelling sheets and polyester covers - both boiling and inappropriate for Berlin summer time. The kitchen had dirty cutlery and the cheapest, nastiest crockery and pans. The most disappointing and misleading information was we booked this apartment because it claims to have wifi - when we checked in we were told which wifi network we should choose, but when we went to log in it did not exist. The apartment block is managed by a company who we were told had someone always on the desk, we only saw the person once in 3 days on our sixth attempt at going to the desk! They told us there is no wifi in this apartment, so we tried to phone the contact from Booked.net - no reply. We sent a text. No reply! Not good service! A thoroughly disappointing experience. We visit Berlin every 6 months for a trade show and this is by far the worst value apartment we have ever stayed in.

It was very dirty! You can still find the hair of the previous guest on the sheets. And when you request help from the contacts they are impossible to contact. They do not pick up your phone after they get the money. The contact person doesnt speak any English at all. The emails you receive before you go to the apartments should be send from someone else because after it's impossible to meet the contact people at all. Also another note that; they take out your stuff out of the apartment if you without asking you. We lost our stuff in the apartment because they took the stuff out without asking us and didn't bother to meet again to show that we dont have any stuff left in. We would strongly warn you that, if you dont want to ruin your stay do not stay there. Worst service and worst hygiene ever!!!

Good location, spacious and clean and well priced

The location was fantastic - so would recommend staying in this area - but stay somewhere else.

The apartments basically need properly renovating - with new kitchens, bathrooms and carpets etc. We rented two apartments and both were pretty shabby. One kitchen had practically no utensils aside from a set of knives and was really dirty (the oven looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months) - we had to bring in the utensils from the 2nd flat we rented. We were missing a sheet for one of the children's beds and it took ages to arrive. The bedding, curtains etc were the cheapest of the cheap (all synthetic polyester type material) - and the floors were similar to those in hospitals (grey vinyl). On top of this are folks that hardly speak any English. A real shame as the apartments were a good size and in a great location but I really can't recommend that to stay here - stay somewhere else in the same area.
